Patricia arrives in Tafalla with her partner to pick up Nerea, the daughter her sister Edurne has carried for her after being unable to have children of her own. What was meant to be a simple handover —the transfer of the baby— becomes a conflict when Edurne refuses to give her up. Throughout the day the tension between the sisters becomes inevitable: while Patricia tries to hold on to the place she feels is hers, Edurne finds herself unable to separate from the bond she has built with the child. Edurne and Patricia face two ways of understanding their relationship with Nerea that can hardly be reconciled.
